“Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshippers meeting together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become “unity” conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship. Social religion is perfected when private religion is purified.”— A.W. Tozer

Great analogy! It makes me remind of the unity and closeness of the Invisible Church and its beauty. I’m thinking a lot about it lately through my Twitter experience. Twitter is giving us a glimpse of the Invisible Church every time we share a deep and profound communion in ideas, vision and thoughts about our Lord and His kingdom. Sometimes in such proximity and closeness never experienced with a brother of a church two blocks away from ours.

“…each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be…”

    Thanks for sharing it.

    Soli Deo Gloria!
